CELEBRATE YORKSHIRE PUDDING DAY, CORNISH PASTY WEEK AND SHROVE TUESDAY AT BREAD STREET KITCHEN & BAR

CELEBRATE YORKSHIRE PUDDING DAY, CORNISH PASTY WEEK AND SHROVE TUESDAY AT BREAD STREET KITCHEN & BAR

Delicious seasonal dishes and brilliant promotions await at the contemporary British restaurant.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – From the best Yorkshire puddings in town to proper Cornish pasties (with a gourmet, Gordon Ramsay-style twist, of course), as well as the most delicious pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, it’s all going down at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at Atlantis, The Palm over the next few weeks.

British Yorkshire Pudding Day Menu (6th February)

What better time to enjoy the crowning glory of every Sunday lunch than on British Yorkshire Pudding Day, which falls on the first Sunday in February every year.

However diners like their Yorkie’s, Bread Street Kitchen & Bar has the answer with tasty options including roast dinner with all the trimmings served up in a giant, fluffy Yorkshire, the ultimate Toad in the Hole with plenty of buttery mash and rivers of onion gravy, and a rib-sticking, wonderfully comforting steak and kidney stew presented in a light and crisp Yorkie shell and served with mushrooms, kale and mash. Each dish is AED 135 and can be perfectly paired with a quintessentially English ‘In the Lime Light’ cocktail, featuring flavours like elderflower and marmalade.

Cornish Pasty Week (23rd to 28th February)

It might have come from humble beginnings (the pasty is famed for doubling as a thrifty, edible lunchbox for Cornish miners in the 19th century), but there’s certainly nothing ordinary about the varieties being served up at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar as part of the Cornish Pasty Week celebration.

With a different option on offer every day, for AED 95 diners can sample pasties filled with rich, meltingly soft Wagyu beef served with mushroom ketchup, an inventive chicken and corn number encased in red pepper pastry, a vegetarian choice in the form of a spinach, ricotta, pecorino and truffle-filled pasty, the Bread Street Kitchen & Bar classic pasty and more. It doesn’t end there though, the theme continues into the dessert course with sweet pasties bursting with banana and custard, apple and berries and banana and Nutella.

When it comes to matching drinks, the ‘Vino Real’ cocktail for AED 70, with its elderflower and lavender notes is an excellent option, as are the range of draught hops on offer.

Pancake Day (1st March)

It’s Shrove Tuesday (the last day before Lent begins) on 1st March and whether guests want to keep things simple-yet-classy with a lemon-and-sugar-dusted pancake served with a zippy lemon sorbet, fancy trying an on-trend red velvet pancake resplendent with seasonal berries and vanilla ice cream or treat themselves to the chocolate dream – a chocolate pancake, layered with ice cream, brownie and sauce – they can do so in flipping fantastic style at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. For a real taste of indulgence, the signature BSK Espresso Martini, with its decadent caramel twist, is the ideal accompaniment.
