As the last week of Ramadan in Dubai approaches, make the most of what’s left of the season to spend time gathering with family and loved ones, and experiencing memorable moments across the city.
Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) presents a host of events and activities during Ramadan in Dubai, thoughtfully arranged to provide residents and visitors alike with picturesque scenes for times of reflections, stunning decor for the perfect photo backdrop, unique iftar and suhoor deals, as well as a wide variety of shopping options at malls, markets and more.
CITY LIGHTING AND AMBIENCE
The stunning Ramadan in Dubai Reflections will continue to fill Al Seef with a beautiful ambience until 22 April. Don’t miss the chance to see the light projections with building mapping, along with lovely lanterns filling the walkways with a golden glow. Catch the iconic Ain Dubai and Dubai Frame as well, as they light up for Ramadan.
The last of the Ramadan Fireworks Nights will take place at Dubai Festival City Mall on 15 April, at 10PM, along with special IMAGINE Ramadan shows taking place throughout Ramadan at the Festival Bay area.
GASTRONOMY
Now extending until 18 April, take part in a unique foodie adventure with the Ramadan Street Food Festival. Take to Dubai’s streets in the Sheikh Hamdan Colony, Al Karama for iftar and suhoor to sample incredible flavours from authentic and traditional foods – ranging from savoury to sweet.
Dine out on a delicious Ramadan Special menu at L’ETO, offering traditional dishes for a sharing experience, unique beverages and decadent desserts at its locations in Dubai Mall, City Walk, Mall of the Emirates, Bluewaters, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Hills Mall and Nakheel Mall.
From 10AM to 1AM, visit and review any of the restaurants at City Walk until 21 April, or The Beach JBR and La Mer until 24 April, and get the chance to be one of 30 lucky winners towin a flight trip to Dubai.
Time Out Market Dubai will serve unique and mouth-watering dishes with a side of engaging live entertainment until 21 April. Feast from 17 sought-after food brands, including: Al Fanar, Brix by 3fils, MASTI, Nightjar, Pickl, Pitfire, Vietnamese Foodies and more.
Break the fast with a delectable iftar from sunset to 9PM or enjoy suhoor from 10PM to 1AM, at Al-Wāha – the contemporary outdoor garden – meaning “The Oasis.” Pass through a glowing tunnel and intoa lovely setting with fountains, pergolas, lanterns, and live music performed by a Qanun player for this unique experience at Conrad Dubai.
Dine from a special Ramadan Iftar selected set menu with Ramadan drinks and dates, for AED 300 per person from 7PM to 8:30PM at Vaga in Bluewaters. THE SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY
Until 22 April, visitors to Expo City Dubai can get the chance to give back to the less fortunate in the spirit of Ramadan, by donating at the “Hattan,” clothing donation boxes, arranged in collaboration with Ramadan in Dubai. The boxes have been designed artistically by young creatives based in Dubai, with stunning paintings inspired by the city’s traditions and cultures.
Take part in the 1 Billion Meals Endowment, a Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global initiative, and world’s largest food endowment fund, to help provide a food safety net for those that are vulnerable and affected by natural disasters or conflicts. MALLS AND SHOPPING
Ramadan Art Nights & Lights will continue to run at Al Seef until 22 April, offering a range of delicious F&B options, special products for sale at the Ramadan street market, and jaw-dropping lighting and art installations. With live music, storytelling for kids, and Ramadan quiz nights, there is something to enjoy for every age.
Visit Bluewaters every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 21 April with loved ones, to take part in engaging activities and experience true Emirati hospitality. Try out the fun photobooth with traditional props and clothing, or get a free henna session while you take in the Ramadan ambiance, accompanied by beautiful performances from Oud or Qanon players.
When in the Mall of the Emirates, stop by Ramadaniyat Zeman Awwal between 10AM and 10PM until 25 April and check out the Ramadan market with many seasonal goods and traditional objects on display, or attend one of the many Ramadan Talks happening every Tuesday inside the Zeman Awwal Majlis Cinema, featuring topics such as, Ramadan table art, modest fashion, Ramadan etiquette, healthy food habits, and more.
