H.E. Eng. Ammar Nagadi, Vice Minister of Economy & Planning, laid out the Ministry’s strategic priorities for the retail sector during his keynote address at the Retail Leaders Circle MENA Summit earlier today.

His Excellency Nagadi said: “Retail plays an important role in the diversification of Saudi Arabia’s economy in line with Vision 2030. Nurturing the opportunities in the retail sector to meet growing demand across the different regions of our vast country is vitally important. We are working to uplift the business environment in which retail operates, in order to attract new investors, improve business efficiency and ensure Saudi Arabia provides ease to market, in order to encourage overall growth in the sector.

We don’t just want to catch up, we want to lead. We are looking to harness the digital revolution and become a hub for e-commerce and state-of-the-art logistics. The Retail Leaders Circle MENA Summit is one of the ways we will be engaging the public and private sector for the good of all stakeholders.”
