EMIRATES DRAW CELEBRATES A SPECTACULAR CONCLUSION OF GCC BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS 2022

Dubai, UAE 08 August 2022: Fans across the nation hailed the inspiring finale win of the GCC Basketball Championship Qualifier for the FIBA Asian Cup 2022, which took place from 29 July – 6 August 2022. The Championship brought together six GCC nations, including hosts United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. Following a suspenseful week of action, the top four semi-finalists battled it out with Qatar defeating Bahrain and KSA defeating Kuwait, resulting in successive wins for Qatar in the first place, KSA as runner-up and Bahrain in third place.

The closing ceremony on Saturday, 6 August 2022, was attended by senior representatives of FIBA ASIA, the UAE Basketball Association, Dubai Sports Council, General Authority of Sports, Emirates Draw, and local and regional media.
