 DUBAI SHOPPING FESTIVAL INVITES UAE BASED CONTENT CREATORS  TO FILM THEIR #DSFWONDERS FOR A CHANCE TO WIN AED 200,000
  • DSF film competition in collaboration with the Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) to run on social media platforms; Instagram and TikTok
  • One Instagram competition winner to receive AED 150,000, and two TikTok competition winners to receive AED 25,000 each
  • Entries are open until 25 January 2022.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 11 January 2022: Dubai Shopping Festival has partnered with the Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) to bring the DSF experience to life through creative digital content. UAE based content creators are invited to bring to life their videography and editing skills in a 30 second – 1 minute video using  #DSFWONDERS with the theme of ‘the most wonderful time of year’ through Instagram and TikTok until 25 January for the chance to win AED 200,000.

With DSF’s packed calendar of entertainment, shopping deals, delicious dining and amazing prizes, the #DSFWONDERS film competition encourages content creators to capture the action and bring the DSF ambiance to life on their Instagram and TikTok channels.  With the full DSF line up featured on @StyledByDubai, @CelebrateDubai and @dsf_Markets as well as www.mydsf.ae, there is a huge range of events and activities for content creators to choose from. 

To enter the competition, participants must capture content across at least three locations in the city to showcase different elements of Dubai Shopping Festival, be it shopping, celebrations, attractions, dining, live events and concerts, or drone and fireworks shows, and upload their films on Instagram or TikTok using #DSFWonders and tagging @CelebrateDubai on Instagram and @DiscoverDubai on TikTok.

Creativity- through both filming and editing – is the key to success and participants can use text, music, voice over, and social platform specific filters to complete their entries before uploading them to Instagram and/or TikTok.

Commenting on the announcement, Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) said: “In today’s world social media platforms play a vital role in connecting communities, sharing experiences, and bringing the offer of a destination to life. The Dubai Shopping Festival has been a signature event in Dubai’s calendar for many years, and each year we try and go one step further to enrich visitors and shoppers’ experiences through a host of world-class events and unbeatable offers. This year, by partnering with the Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA), we want UAE based content creators to tell the #DSFWONDERS story through their mobile phone lenses, capturing their own experiences of what DSF means to them. We look forward to receiving participants’ entries, and wish them the best of luck to win these incredible prizes”.

Winner and qualifier content on Instagram will be featured on @CelebrateDubai, with the overall winner earning a cash prize of AED 150,000. Plus 2 winners on TikTok can win AED 25,000 each, and have their content featured on @discoverdubai A judging panel from Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) will review and select the winners.
