04 Sep 2025, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque and Centre in Dubai organised a special event to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The celebration saw the notable participation of students from Emirates International School, who attended to honour this blessed occasion commemorating the birth of the Prophet.
The programme featured a variety of spiritual and cultural activities. Attendees listened to two lectures delivered by Sheikh Dr Faris Al Mustafa, Imam and preacher of Al Farooq Mosque, in Arabic, and Sheikh Tariq Saeed Bojassim, Senior Mufti from Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, in English. Under the theme “The Prophet’s Birth: A Light Renewed”, both lectures highlighted the spiritual significance of the Prophet’s birth and its role in fostering values of compassion, tolerance, and adherence to the Prophet’s noble example.
The event also included uplifting performances of prophetic praises (nasheeds) recited by a group of students, which added a deeply spiritual and moving atmosphere that resonated with the audience.
In his address, Abdul Salam Al Marzooqi, General Manager of Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque and Centre, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Khalaf Al Habtoor, the mosque’s founder, for his continuous support of such initiatives that promote moderation and tolerance within society. He stated: “Our celebration of the Prophet’s birth is not merely a religious occasion, but a moment to renew our commitment to following in his footsteps, and to instil in our children the love of the Prophet and his noble character.”

It is noteworthy that Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque and Centre also offers guided tours and awareness programmes for non-Muslim communities, aimed at introducing them to the true values of Islam and promoting a culture of tolerance and coexistence among diverse cultures.
