CELEBRATE SUMMER IN THE CITY: HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK WITH DUBAI SUMMER SURPRISES

Dubai Summer Surprises offers residents and visitors the chance to try out new and engaging activities all summer. Curated and presented by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this summer has a happening lineup of events to check out each week.

ENTERTAINMENT AND EVENTS

Catch talented and internationally loved artists across the city and stay in the groove this summer, with Robby Colin live at Movenpick JBR on 7 July, as well as Wegz and DizzyTooSkinny performing at The Agenda on 15 July.

Check out the Etihad Museum Summer Camp taking place between 10 to 14 July, and later again from 17 to 21 July at the Etihad Museum to spend the summer learning and having fun at the same time, all at this beloved landmark, rich with the history of the UAE.

The highly anticipated Beat the Heat music festival is making a comeback for its second edition during DSS, in partnership with DSS, Spotlight and Anghami. This event showcases the vibrant and diverse music scene of the city, featuring a talented lineup of artists and musicians. Taking place at The Agenda in Dubai Media City, attendees can immerse themselves in a wide range of musical genres throughout July and August. Prepare to be entertained by the performances of WEGZ, Cairokee, Balti, Autostrad, Skinny, El Far3i, Modi Al Shamrani, DJ Aseel, and Sharmoofers.

Another annual favourite, Movie Magic, will also be returning this DSS to bring joy to movie enthusiasts of all ages. With a captivating lineup of performances, exciting competitions, and delicious food and beverages, this event promises a memorable experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet beloved movie characters and relive their favourite childhood films through special screenings of classic movies.

RAFFLES AND RETAIL

With deals and offers from over 800 brands across 3,500 outlets in the city, the DSS Sale Season will run until September 3, offering discounts of up to 75 per cent over the remaining nine weeks of the festival.

This summer, shoppers have the opportunity to not only find great deals but also the chance to win life-changing prizes. During the Dubai Summer Surprises Raffle Campaign 2023, shoppers can win big by spending AED 200 or more at participating malls, to receive a digital coupon and a shot at winning a Nissan X-Trail 2023. For gold and jewellery enthusiasts, the Glittering City of Gold Jewellery Deals is taking place until 23 July. Organised by the Dubai Jewellery Group, this event offers incredible offers at 150 jewellery outlets in Dubai.
