The United Arab Emirates University Celebrates the Chancellor’s Innovation Awards
Abu Dhabi, February 8– 2022: The United Arab Emirates University is celebrating the winners of the 2022 Chancellor’s Innovation Awards by February 10th . The Awards signal to the university community that innovation is an essential purpose of their work and studies and offer motivation and support for individuals and groups who are actively involved in innovation. Moreover the Awards direct the efforts of innovators towards projects and practices that build the UAE’s knowledge-based economy and contribute to sustainable social development.
The organisers of the Awards explained that all members of the university community are encouraged to participate in the Awards program. As a result, faculty, students, and administrators have access to a framework that stimulates innovative thinking and facilitates research that improves practice or gives rise to new solutions. An essential feature of the Awards program is its focus on areas of priority to the nation: renewable energy, transportation, education, health sector, water resources, space science and technology.
The Chancellor’s Innovation Awards are integral to the program of events organised to mark UAE Innovates 2022 in the coming month. Events include competitions for the best presentation of graduate students in the Department of Geology, Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and the best idea for improving UAE operational processes and online applications to strengthen the University’s organisational agility, increase its efficiency and effectiveness, and raise its standards of service.
