Roberto Cavalli brought Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) to a dramatic close with a captivating runway show at Dubai Design District (d3), solidifying its place as a global luxury fashion leader.
DFW Spring/Summer 2025, co-founded by d3 and the Arab Fashion Council, further established Dubai’s role as a global fashion hub. Roberto Cavalli’s participation at DFW highlighted the brand’s regional and global revival.
Fausto Puglisi, Creative Director of Roberto Cavalli, said: “Dubai is a city that embodies luxury and fashion. It’s an honour to close Dubai Fashion Week in such an energetic and bold market, which aligns perfectly with the spirit of our collections.”
Roberto Cavalli unveiled its Resort 2025 collection, paying homage to its late founder. Signature elements such as iconic rose prints and zebra patterns are true to their DNA.
“The brand does not define a single ‘Roberto Cavalli woman’; rather, it celebrates the diverse personalities and styles that each woman embodies. Roberto Cavalli believes this collection speaks to the individuality, strength, and beauty of the women in this region,” added Fausto.
Additionally, a capsule collection inspired by Murano glass, featuring rich greens and blues, celebrated the craftsmanship and artistry of Venice—a nod to Italy’s heritage of excellence and beauty.
Since DAMAC Group acquired Roberto Cavalli in 2019, the brand has been revitalised, expanding beyond fashion into real estate and hospitality. This includes the Cavalli Tower in Dubai, a testament to the brand’s luxury lifestyle vision.
Amira Sajwani, Managing Director of DAMAC Group, added: “Dubai’s global fashion influence continues to grow, and we’re proud to see Roberto Cavalli leading this transformation. The brand’s Italian flair and luxury fit perfectly in the Middle East, and we’re excited about its further expansion in the region.”
A Dynamic Fashion Market
Dubai has become a pivotal player in the global luxury fashion market, with a rising demand for high-end fashion. The GCC region, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, is experiencing rapid growth in the luxury sector, making it a critical market for international brands.
Roberto Cavalli’s recent participation in Dubai Fashion Week highlights its ongoing commitment to the region’s fashion scene. The brand, which also offers fragrances, eyewear, and home collections, continues its global retail expansion with new stores in London and Las Vegas and is exploring further opportunities in the region.
