ITALIAN FARE WITH A KICK LARTE SET TO HOST SUPPER CLUB WITH DANNY KWANG, FOODIE & FOUNDER OF DK HOT SAUCES

Bringing the heat to Italian cooking like never before to Larte at Studio One Hotel, guest host Danny Kwang will guide diners through the chef’s menu, each dish featuring his signature hot sauces, on Saturday 19 April at 7pm.

Have you ever tasted Italian food laced with a bit of Caribbean spice? If not, Larte’s monthly supper club Live at Larte is hosting their first Dubai edition, bringing Dubai foodies an incredible dining experience that will blend the best of both worlds! For one night only on Saturday 19th April, Larte’s head Chef Abdul Hackim is teaming up with local foodie and hot sauce maker Danny Kwang, founder of DK Hot Sauce to craft a special menu that plates up an unexpected combination – rich Italian fare with fiery Caribbean flavours.

Founder of homegrown brand DK Hot Sauces, Danny Kwang created a range of sauces that blend sweet, tangy, and smoky flavours while delivering the heat no matter which choice customers make. With seven sauces to choose from, each bringing its own unique kick, DK Hot Sauces pairs perfectly with any meal – be it a sandwich, salad or even pasta!
Putting a small, local business centre stage for the upcoming supper club, Larte’s head chef will be crafting an exquisite menu of Italian delights, each complemented by one of Danny’s hot sauces. Pair the Piadina Ai Pomodori Fresci, a blend of Strabena and candy tomatoes, marinaded in olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh basil, topped with parmesan, laid on Italian toast, with DK’s medium-heat level ‘Citrus Banger’. Or try the Polpette Dolci e Piccanti, ground beef meatballs made with parmesan, mozzarella, and mixed herbs, baked in a tomato sauce and served with garlic flatbread, paired with either DK’s ‘Sweet Heat’ or low to medium heat ‘The Mexican’. The main dish, Merluzzo Al Forno Con Purea di Zucca E Caponata di Melanzane Affumicate, takes the spotlight with baked cod served with sweet pumpkin sauce, smoked eggplant caponata and basil oil – which can be paired with guest’s choice of heat level, from medium heat with ‘Citrus Banger’ or ‘Hot Pepper Boomer’, all the way up to high heat with ‘Double Bubble’. End the meal as it began – with a kick – with “Fiamma Dolce”: soft scoop ice cream with grated chocolate, mixed berry compote and crumbled meringue, with an optional drizzling of medium-heat ‘Hot Honey’.

The supper club will take place on Saturday 19 April from 7pm, priced at AED 299 with exquisite wine pairings – guests will require a drink to extinguish the heat!
