Washington – June 30, 2022: Frederic Sicre, former managing director and executive board member of the World Economic Forum (WEF), joined APCO Worldwide’s International Advisory Council (IAC) as a senior advisor, Founder and Executive Chairman Margery Kraus announced.

“As a global business expert, Frederic has 30 years of experience in strategic development and implementation in private and public institutions,” Kraus said. “He has a track record of success in company growth, corporate positioning, public relations and developing worldwide strategic relationships with political, economic and social effect. His professional experience, skills and global network of decision makers will be a valuable asset to our clients and will complement our firm’s global capabilities. Sicre worked at WEF for 16 years, being responsible for its global strategy and implementation around the world. He also led the WEF’s work on major peace initiatives in Africa and the Middle East. He led the move of the Davos Annual Meeting to New York City after the 9/11 attacks.  Previously, he spent 14 years as a partner of the private equity firm, The Abraaj Group, being in charge of creating and executing the communications, stakeholder management and public relations strategies of the firm. He also served as Executive Advisor in the UAE’s Prime Minister’s Office. Sicre has served on a number of corporate and non-profit boards around the world, including the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Dubai Cares, Education for Employment, Media Quest Publishing, Karachi Electric Company, Junior Achievement, UN Business for Peace and the Business and Sustainable Development Commission.
