Dubai Opera Unveils its 9th season.
Dubai Opera is set to welcome over 50 international productions to the stage, with more than 150 performances, including regional debuts, new collaborations, and modern interpretations of opera, ballet, and musical theatre.

Dubai Opera unveiled its highly anticipated 2025–26 Season with a spectacular opening gala that brought together regional and international media, leading cultural figures, and distinguished guests. The evening commenced with a moving rendition of the UAE National Anthem performed by the Arabic Music Institute Ensemble, followed by a stirring performance of the celebrated duo ”O, soave fanciulla: from Puccini’s La Bohème”, presented by soloists from the Hungarian State Opera, the season’s first production. These defining moments set the stage for a year-long programme designed to bridge genres, generations, and global stages, celebrating the power of the performing arts to inspire and connect.

“National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia” | 27 to 28 November 2025 – Founded by Maestro Vladimir Spivakov, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia is acclaimed for its rich, expressive sound and collaborations with world-renowned artists. At Dubai Opera, the orchestra will perform with celebrated soloists Adam Gutseriev (piano) and Dali Gutserieva (cello).
“Stars of the Century Opera Gala”| 22 December 2025 – On December 22, 2025, Dubai Opera marks its 10th anniversary with an unforgettable gala featuring opera stars as José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and soprano Hibla Gerzmava. “Wicked The Musical” | 28 January to 15 February 2026 – Before Dorothy, there was “Wicked” — the untold story of Elphaba and Glinda, brought to life with Stephen Schwartz’s iconic score including “Defying Gravity.” A global phenomenon making its Dubai Opera debut. “Rumi”: The Musical | 04 to 07 June2026 – “Rumi”: The Musical presented by Dubai Opera and Mondial AMV Management Consultancy, from creators Dana Al Fardan and Nadim Naaman; tells the story of the 13th-century poet’s transformative bond with Shams Tabrizi. With a sweeping score blending Middle Eastern and classical influences, it brings Rumi’s verses to life in a moving celebration of faith, friendship, and self-discovery.

“Kings Of Convenience”| 16 October 2025 – Kings of Convenience, Norway’s beloved indie folk duo, bring their signature harmonies and acoustic warmth to Dubai Opera. “Ilaiyaraaja” | 18 October 2025 – Ilaiyaraaja, the “Isaignani” and Maestro, is a legendary composer, singer, and lyricist with over five decades of music. With 8,500+ songs and 1,400+ films across multiple languages, his blend of classical, folk, and contemporary music has captivated audiences worldwide. “Mehran Modiri” | 13 November 2025 – With a 40-year career, Mehran Modiri is a leading figure in Iranian arts, shaping generations through TV, film, theatre, and music. “Björn Again” | 21 November 2025 – Dubai Opera and MAC Global present “BJÖRN AGAIN” for one night only on May 26. Since 1988, the Melbourne-born phenomenon has gained cult status, with over 5,000 performances across 72 countries, entertaining audiences everywhere from Buckingham Palace to Wembley Arena. “Ministry Of Sound Classical” | 22 November 2025 – Dubai Opera and MAC Global present two legendary music worlds collide as “Ministry of Sound Classical” brings iconic club anthems to life with orchestral grandeur. “Jon Batiste” | 23 November 2025 – Jon Batiste, a seven-time Grammy and Academy Award–winning singer, songwriter, and composer, returns with his ninth studio album Big Money (Aug 22, Verve/Interscope), followed by a 30-date U.S. tour. The Yemenis Orchestra | 14 December 2025 – Yemeni composer Mohamed Salem Al-Ghoom, founder of the Heritage Symphonies project, blends traditional melodies with orchestral arrangements, bringing Yemen’s rich heritage to global stages. His performances celebrate cultural depth and resilience in a vibrant fusion of tradition and artistry.
Hany Shaker & Mai Farouk | 23 December 2025 – Legendary singer Hany Shaker, with timeless hits like Heloua Ya Dounia and Albi Maloh, joins acclaimed vocalist Mai Farouk, renowned for her powerful renditions of Umm Kulthum classics. Together, they bring an unforgettable celebration of Arabic music and tradition.
Omar Khairat | 24 December 2025 – Legendary composer Omar Khairat brings his soulful fusion of classical, jazz, and Arabic music to Dubai Opera. With timeless works like Qadeyet Am Ahmed and over 120 film and TV scores, his music has captivated audiences worldwide for over 40 years.
Khalid Abdulrahman | 04 January 2026 – Saudi star Khalid Abdulrahman, known as Mukhawi Al-Layl (Night Dweller), brings his romantic, emotional songs to Dubai Opera. THEATRE
Khyel Sahra| 11 to 12 November 2025 – Khyel Sahra unites Lebanese icons Georges Khabbaz and Adel Karam in a powerful musical drama about friendship and memory during the civil war. Written and directed by Khabbaz, it portrays two enemy snipers finding humanity amid conflict and chaos.
War & Peace| 21 January 2026 – Dubai Opera and M Premiere present the regional debut of War and Peace, a spellbinding stage adaptation of Tolstoy’s classic. Directed by Rimas Tuminas and performed by Russia’s renowned Vakhtangov Theatre, this epic five-hour production unites celebrated stars and rising talents.
