CELEBRATE SONGKRAN OVERLOOKING THE WATERS OF JUMEIRAH AL QASR
Guests are invited to join Pai Thai in a celebration embracing goodwill, love, compassion and thankfulness, with a true taste of Thailand and live entertainment.
Pai Thai, the award-winning Thai destination, has curated a special Songkran edition of the Five Tastes of Thailand menu for guests to enjoy this Thai New Year. The signature menu showcases the five key flavours of Thailand – bitter, spicy, savoury, sour and sweet, taking guests on a culinary journey for the senses.
Be transported to the heart of Thailand with a unique and authentic gastronomical journey as you overlook the lush gardens and serene waterways of Jumeirah Al Qasr. Keeping in tradition with authentic Thai New Year rituals, guests will be greeted by a traditional water ceremony on arrival and enjoy hand-made Songkran decorations that adorn the restaurant. On 8th – 9th April and 15th – 16th April, the resident DJ will bring the venue to life with vibrant tunes and eclectic beats.
Running from Friday 8th until Sunday 17th April, the mouth-watering sharing menu also has plant-based version that can be enjoyed by vegans. Starters include the Gai Hor Bai Toey, marinated chicken wrapped in pandan leaves, Chor Muang, purple flower chicken dumpling, fried onion and peanuts and Som Tam Pai Thai, green papaya salad. Mains feature Gaeng Massaman Nuea, braised beef massaman curry, Gaeng Panang Goong, tiger prawns in a creamy red curry sauce and Gaeng Khiew Wan Phak, mixed vegetable green curry, bamboo shoot, coconut shoot and Thai eggplant.
For the sweetest finish, the meal ends with the delicious Kao Niew Ma Muang, purple sweet sticky rice topped with ripe Thai mango. Light, aromatic and invigorating dishes bursting with vibrant flavours of Thailand, can be additionally paired with wine or effortlessly crafted cocktails to create refreshing flavors like Phuket Beach, Gaeng Keow Wan Agave and Salika… all to toast the new year!
