 A Michelin Affair at Jumeirah Port Soller

With the end of the summer season fast approaching, Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa’s exquisite poolside restaurant, Es Fanals will be hosting ‘A Michelin Affair’ on Wednesday 27 September between 7-10pm in celebration of the art of gastronomy.

Jumeirah’s very own Michelin-starred Chef Saverio Sbaragli, of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah’s French-Italian restaurant, Al Muntaha, has worked closely with Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa’s Executive Chef Javier Lopez to carefully curate a six-course tasting menu that seamlessly weaves Al Muntaha’s renowned gastronomy with the unique ingredients and traditions of Port de Sóller.

Guests will also enjoy a carefully curated wine list that showcases the best of Mallorca’s vineyards as well as wines from some of France and Spain’s best loved winemaking regions, further enhancing the dining experience. The evening is priced at €160 per person, which is inclusive of all food and wine pairings.

Having trained under Chef Alain Ducasse, Chef Saverio Sbaragli is a distinguished culinary artist who has earned many accolades throughout his career, including a Michelin star as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva, as well as working at the prestigious three Michelin-starred l’Arpège under Chef Alain Passard. At Al Muntaha, Chef Saverio continues to be recognised for his gastronomic excellence, with the restaurant being awarded one star for two years in a row in Michelin Guide Dubai, as well as receiving a rating of four toques in this year’s Gault&Millau UAE Guide, a first-ever award.

Executive Chef Javier Lopez was appointed ahead of Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa’s 10th anniversary in 2022, with the aim of further elevating the hotel’s dining experiences. With a wealth of experience in luxury hospitality and tenures at several Michelin-starred restaurants, Javier brings a sense of innovation and creativity to the hotel, with a focus on fresh, organic and seasonal produce that is responsibly sourced from local providers.
