 Souk Al Marfa launches Free Shuttle Service from Deira Wharfage

In cooperation with the Marine Agency for Wooden Dhows, traders and sea passengers can now easily access Souk Al Marfa via a free shuttle bus service for wholesale shopping and authentic dining experiences.

Dubai, 19 July 2022 … Souk Al Marfa, the waterfront souk and marketplace at Deira Islands, joins forces with the Marine Agency for Wooden Dhows, as part of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, to introduce free shuttle buses between Deira Wharfage and Souk Al Marfa starting today.

Bridging the two destinations, the shuttle service will grant dhow passengers, operators and traders traveling from neighboring countries up to five hours of leisure time to shop, dine and explore Souk Al Marfa during their travel journeys. The free daily transport service will pick the travelers up from Deira Wharfage to Souk Al Marfa every Sunday to Thursday at 12:30 pm and Friday at 2 pm and drop them back at 6:30 pm.

Muath Abdulqader Alrais, General Manager at Souk Al Marfa, said: “We are proud to be joining forces with the Marine Agency for Wooden Dhows, to extend transportation services to Dhow passengers and traders to Souk Al Marfa for an all-encompassing shopping and dining experience. This is in line with our ongoing efforts to ease accessibility to Souk Al Marfa, following the launch of the RTA bus service, as well as the RTA Abra and Ferry station.”

Souk Al Marfa’s operating hours are from 12 noon to 12 midnight from Sunday to Thursday, 2 pm to 2 am on Friday and 12 pm to 2 am on Saturday.
