Roxy Cinemas rolls out the red carpet for Oscars Week

Expect Oscar fever galore as Roxy Cinemas will screen 6 iconic movies tipped for success at The Academy Awards, from 24^th March until 29^th March.

Dubai, 24 March 2022: The 94^th Academy Awards are just around the corner, taking place on 28^th March, Oscar fever is building, and anticipation levels are high! 2021 was an excellent year for movie fans, with a myriad of iconic films released, all contending for massive Oscar wins.

To mark this incredibly exciting occasion, Roxy Cinemas announces Oscar Week which will run from 24^th March until 29^th March, at Roxy’s state-of-the-art screens at The Beach and City Walk.

Oscar Week will give movie lovers the chance to re-watch (or in some cases, watch for the first time) six fantastic movies tipped for Oscar success while indulging in their favourite cinema snacks.

The six movies that will be showcased as part of Oscar Week include The Nightmare Alley, an action-thriller based on the novel by William Lindsay, starring Bradley Cooper, Kate Blanchett, and Toni Collette

Encanto is the Disney animation and timeless classic that has taken the world by storm, which follows a Colombian teenage girl who must face the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers.

The action-packed, feature adaption of Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel, Dune, sees the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset in the galaxy.

King Richard is a sporting drama that looks at how tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams became who they are after the coaching from their father Richard Williams.

When Patrizia Reggiani, an outsider from humble beginnings, marries the Gucci family, her unbridled ambition begins to unravel their legacy and triggers a reckless spiral of betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately murder. House of Gucci is a drama starring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, and Al Pacino that you don’t want to miss!

An adaption of the 1957 musical, West Side Story explores forbidden love and the rivalry between The Jets and The Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds.
