Titled ‘Dubai Blockchain for Travel’, the programme comes as a joint collaboration between Global Tourism Forum (GTF), World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI), and Ariva, a cryptocurrency used in global & local tourism and travel thus reshaping tourism worldwide. The programme aims to address the challenges that plague the tourism industries worldwide and will present the diverse opportunities associated with the blockchain revolution in the context of tourism.

The top speakers include former President of France, Francois Hollande, Dr. Michael Gebert, Chairman of European Blockchain Association, Taleb Rifai, Secretary-General of WTFI and Former Secretary-General of The World Tourism Organization and Ismail Ertug, Member of the European Parliament, among several others.

On the occasion, Cenk Unverdi, Regional General Manager of Rixos Hotels UAE commented, “The event presents a revolutionary new road towards unprecedented change within the worldwide tourism industry. With stakeholders in business, blockchain, and world tourism coming together, the discussions will present new ways that the tourism sector can combat existing challenges and how blockchain will reshape the future of the industry. The Global Tourism Forum’s latest event will work as a ‘signature bridge event’ between the cryptocurrency world and the travel and tourism industry. An event of this scale and precedence perfectly aligns with the UAE government’s efforts on the tech front, more specifically as Dubai assimilates blockchain across multiple sectors, including government, transport, and more. We are confident that the results of the Global Tourism Forum will be astounding as it presents the first step from where global tourism and blockchain begin their unique merger.”

The world-class event will be attended by politicians, world tourism industry leaders, blockchain & cryptocurrency entrepreneurs, cryptocurrency stock exchanges, digital innovators, representatives of the EU Parliament, economic development corporations, global investment groups & banks, investment consultants, legislators, c-level executives, governmental authorities, travel strategists and travel technologists, people who establish and identify the future of travel, online travel agencies, as well as tourism and travel associations from across the world. [Text Wrapping Break]
