01 March to 31 March – Temporary exhibition “Jean Paul Gaultier from A to Z”

Jean Paul Gaultier takes over the France Pavilion through the temporary exhibition “Jean Paul Gaultier from A to Z” which retraces the fifty-year career of the French designer and presents his iconic works. This temporary exhibition is a journey through the designer’s key pieces, punctuated by surprises and archives. It also reveals the influences, passions and obsessions of Jean Paul Gaultier, a figure of French know-how in the field of haute couture.

01 March to 31 March – Menu “Alsace” by Chef Mathieu Klein, Brillat-Savarin restaurant

Chef Matthieu will showcase a diverse menu from the Alsace region in France, with a pastry tart crust made with custard cream and sautéed onions for appetizers or the famous “Choucroute de la mer”, while tasting a plate of traditional cheese or enjoy a desert with a White Cheesecake or Creamy custard cream with apples.

04 March to 07 March – KIDS and Diabetes in Schools campaign, by Sanofi

The KiDS Project is created by the International Diabetes Federation and ISPAD with the support of Sanofi at global level to raise awareness on diabetes within the school environment, as school children, nurses, teachers and parents of children are key contributors to the awareness levels in societies.

Located at the France Pavilion’s Esplanade, the campaign includes a variety of activities that will enable participants to acquire knowledge about the different types of diabetes in children and how to manage different situations affecting diabetic children.

08 March – International Women’s Day, with ENGIE, L’Oréal, Sanofi, Bureau Veritas

To celebrate International Women’s Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, the France Pavilion is organizing a day dedicated to women. It will be an opportunity to commemorate the progress and achievements on women’s rights across the world. The event will tackle and discuss prospects for change and challenges that lie ahead for future generations.

09 March to 13 March – Exceptional demonstrations by Mélanie Cros, weaver from the Manufacture des Gobelins (in collaboration with INMA and MENASA)

From 2-4PM and 5-7PM, the weaver Mélanie Cros, will present on the Esplanade of the France Pavilion the ancient art of tapestry, its traditional and prestigious know-how, by weaving, under the eyes of the spectators, an exceptional work of art.

18 March – Conference by Thomas Pesquet, France Pavilion’s Ambassador and French ESA astronaut

The France Pavilion’s Ambassador and French ESA astronaut, Thomas Pesquet, will make his debut at Expo 2020 Dubai and conduct a panel discussion at the France Pavilion’s Belvedere.

20 March – Francophonie International Day

A special day celebrated by France and the Francophone countries.
